Marketing Growth Operator - Brazil

Hub.xyz
SP, Brazil
Internship
Compensation
$300–$700/month

Job Description

This is not a desk job. Hub.xyz is a Y Combinator P26 company. Demo Day is June 16. That is weeks away.

We're opening our ground operation in Brazil and we need one person to own it. You will build and run Hub's on-the-ground network in São Paulo: managing Scouts, handling logistics, closing local partnerships, and recruiting the people who power our data engine.

If you want a structured role with a clear playbook and someone telling you what to do each morning, this is not for you.

If you want to own an entire country operation from day one, move fast, and build something real with your own hands, keep reading.

🌐 About Hub

Hub is a distributed AI data infrastructure company. We collect original real-world data that doesn't exist anywhere on the internet, and we provide it to the AI labs and technology companies building the next generation of artificial intelligence.

One of our fastest-growing categories is egocentric video: first-person footage of everyday life, recorded through a head-mounted phone. This is the data that teaches AI systems and humanoid robots how people actually move through the world, use their hands, and interact with real environments. It cannot be scraped. It cannot be synthesized. It has to be recorded by real people, in real homes, doing real tasks.

That is what our contributors do. And in Brazil, you are the person who builds that network on the ground.

⚙️ Why This Role Exist

Hub runs a program called Hub Scouts: local operators who recruit contributors, onboard them to our app, and grow the network in their territory. Scouts earn ongoing income for every hour their contributors record. The model works and it's already live across Latin America.

Brazil is one of our biggest opportunities, and right now nobody owns it on the ground. That's the role.

You will be Hub's person in São Paulo. You manage the Scouts. You make sure contributors get their equipment and start recording. You close deals with local partners, including factories and workplaces where teams of employees can record as contributors. You support the Brazil marketing push with local creators and real contributor stories. When something needs to happen in the physical world in Brazil, you are the one who makes it happen.

This is a generalist role for someone who can switch between people management, logistics, partnerships, and marketing in a single day and do all of it well.

🛠️ What You'll Own

1. Scout management

Recruit, onboard, and manage Hub's Scouts across Brazil. Keep them motivated, productive, and hitting targets. You are their point of contact, their coach, and the person who removes their blockers.

2. Contributor growth on the ground

Own the number that matters: active contributors recording verified hours in Brazil. You'll recruit directly, you'll enable Scouts to recruit, and you'll figure out which channels work in your city. Personal networks, universities, gig-worker communities, neighborhood groups, whatever moves the number.

3. Local partnerships

Find and close partnerships that unlock contributors at scale. The clearest example: factories and workplaces where teams of employees can record as contributors. You source these, you pitch them, you manage the relationship in person.

4. Logistics and equipment

Make sure headstraps and equipment get into the right hands. Manage supplier relationships, shipping, reimbursements, and the physical operation end to end. This is unglamorous and it's mission-critical. Contributors can't record without gear.

5. Marketing support for the Brazil operation

Support Hub's Brazil growth with local content. Recruit local creators, produce contributor testimonials and earnings proof, and help turn real Scout and contributor stories into recruitment fuel.

⚡️ Your First 30 Days

Week 1: Get the product in your own hands. Set up a headstrap, record your first hours, and understand exactly what a contributor experiences. You cannot run this operation without living it first. Meet the Scouts already active in Brazil.

Week 2-3: Take ownership of the Brazil Scout team. Get equipment flowing. Identify your first local partnership targets and start outreach. Begin direct contributor recruitment in São Paulo.

Week 4: Have a functioning Brazil operation with Scouts producing, contributors recording, and at least one partnership conversation in motion. Report progress directly to Dany and Tim.

🎯 Who You Are

Hub hires on a green flag model. We are not looking for a perfect resume or a specific degree. We are looking for one thing: someone with the drive and agency to own an entire operation and make it work, with very little hand-holding.

You are:

  • Based in São Paulo, or able to be there and operate on the ground from day one. This role requires physical presence. It is not remote.
  • Fluent in perfect written and spoken English. You'll work directly with a US-based team. Your writing and speech need to be at a professional standard. Portuguese fluency is required too, since you'll operate locally.
  • Extremely hungry. You take maximum initiative. You'd rather ask forgiveness than permission. You move before being told to.
  • A true generalist. You can manage people in the morning, fix a logistics problem at lunch, pitch a factory in the afternoon, and brief a content creator in the evening. You're comfortable not being an expert in any one of these, as long as you figure it out fast.
  • Self-directed to an unusual degree. Drop you into ambiguity and you build a path forward. You don't wait for a process. You create one.
  • Comfortable on the ground. You like being out in the field, meeting people, and making things happen in the physical world, not just behind a screen.

💼 The Role and Compensation

This starts lean and scales with you. Depending on your profile, we can start as an internship or junior contract engagement, and for the right person this grows into a full-time, founding-team role on Hub's Brazil operation.

Compensation is discussed on the call. What matters most: this is a high-ownership role at an early-stage YC company, and what you build here directly shapes both the operation and your place in it.

Reports to Dany (Head of Staff) and Tim (CEO).

📋 How to Apply

We have a short application form. Plan 15 to 20 minutes.

The form is mostly open-ended. We read every answer closely. We're looking for clarity of thought, real evidence of initiative, and a concrete sense of how you'd attack this.

What we weigh: specific answers over generic ones, real stories over theory, and honesty over polish. "Here's exactly what I did and what happened" beats "I'm a hard worker" every time.
