About The Role
We are seeking a driven, organized, and experienced IT Manager to join us in defining the future of healthcare. You will own our IT environment end to end; the systems, devices, identity, and security that keep our team equipped and our company moving fast as we scale. You'll have significant responsibility and ownership, and work cross-functionally with People & Operations, Security, Engineering, and every team that depends on reliable IT.
What You'll Do
Own IT systems & support: Be the go-to for employee IT support. Triage and resolve hardware, software, and access issues, and keep day-to-day operations running smoothly.
Run onboarding & offboarding: Provision accounts, devices, and access on day one, and reclaim them cleanly when someone departs.
Manage the device fleet: Handle the full device lifecycle covering procurement, configuration, deployment, repair, and retirement.
Administer MDM: Use MDM (Jamf, Kandji, Intune, or similar) to enforce configuration, encryption, patching, and security across the fleet.
Manage identity & SaaS: Own access across Google Workspace / Microsoft 365 and the SaaS stack — SSO, provisioning, groups, and role-based permissions — along with licensing and spend.
Handle networking & AV: Keep office networking (Wi-Fi, switches, firewall/VPN) and conference-room/AV systems reliable, and troubleshoot as needed.
Strengthen security & compliance: Own day-to-day security hygiene (MFA, endpoint protection, patching, access reviews) and partner with our security and compliance team to support HIPAA safeguards, SOC 2, and audit readiness.
Manage vendors & budget: Own hardware, software, and service-vendor relationships, IT purchasing, and budget forecasting.
Build for scale: Document systems, processes, and runbooks, and design IT practices that scale as we grow.
Who You Are
You are an intrinsically motivated doer who takes ownership of broad initiatives and drives them to completion, navigating ambiguity with ease
You thrive in fast-moving, collaborative environments and enjoy supporting teammates across both technical and non-technical roles
What You'll Bring
7+ years in IT, systems administration, or IT support, with broad ownership across systems, devices, and security
Hands-on MDM experience (Rippling, Jamf, Kandji, Intune, or similar)
Strong Google Workspace and/or Microsoft 365 administration skills
Solid foundational networking (DNS, DHCP, VPN, Wi-Fi troubleshooting) and IT security fundamentals (MFA, SSO, endpoint security, encryption)
Comfort owning device lifecycle management and procurement
Bonus: experience in a regulated environment (HIPAA, SOC 2, ISO 27001, or HITRUST), scripting/automation (Bash, PowerShell, Python), or a dedicated identity provider (Google, Entra ID)
Role Location
NYC - hybrid, Boston - hybrid, or East Coast - remote
What We Offer
Impact: Be at the forefront and contribute to groundbreaking, AI-driven healthcare experiences, directly interface with execs at the world's leading tech & healthcare orgs
Growth: Significant opportunities for broad ownership and professional development within our rapidly scaling startup
Compensation: Competitive salary + equity
Benefits: Comprehensive healthcare, vision + dental, 401K, Unlimited PTO, Parental Leave
