## Job description

**About Assembly**

Assembly is an AI-native HOA management company backed by Y Combinator. We serve more than 100 communities across California by pairing experienced managers with software we build ourselves, so boards get faster service, clearer financials, and better decisions.

**The Role**

We’re hiring a Director of Business Development to win new HOA management contracts in your region. We generate and qualify the leads; your job is to meet with boards, earn their trust, and close. This is a field role for someone who is comfortable presenting to volunteer boards and guiding them through a big decision.

**What You’ll Do**

-   Work a steady pipeline of qualified HOA leads that we provide
-   Run discovery calls and meetings with board members to understand their pain points
-   Deliver proposals and board presentations, in person and over Zoom
-   Negotiate terms and close signed management agreements
-   Guide boards through switching management companies
-   Keep an accurate pipeline in our CRM
-   Hand off new accounts to operations for smooth onboarding

**What We’re Looking For**

-   3+ years in a B2B or relationship-based sales role with a track record of hitting quota
-   Experience selling to committees, boards, or property managers
-   Comfortable running in-person presentations and long sales cycles
-   Based in the region, with reliable transportation

**Nice to Have**

-   HOA management or community association experience
-   CMCA, CCAM, AMS, or PCAM

**Compensation**

$120K on-target earnings: $60K base salary plus uncapped commission. You earn one month of the management fee (8.3% of annual contract value) on every management agreement you close, paid when the community’s management starts. Benefits include 401(k), health insurance, vision insurance, and paid time off.
